impresario of the Teatro Valle Cartonim contract for a new opera.

P: Rossini jeszcze podczas pracy nad ,,Cyrulikiem sewilskim” podpisał z impresariem Teatro Valle Cartonim umowę na nową operę. Data premiery została określona na 26 grudnia, honorarium zaś na 500 skudów.

praca nad utworem ruszyła z miejsca.

w karnawale.

powstawał
więc w wielkim pośpiechu. Wedle wspomnień Ferretiego napisanie
libretta zajęło mu 22 dni. Rossini skomponował muzykę
w 24 dni.
Poza uwerturą i dwiema ariami, których autorem jest kompozytor
Luigi Agolini, pomagający Rossiniemu w pracy, powstała całkowicie
nowa muzyka.

Cinderella '' she met with a cool reception. Only a few scenes were
vivid response, the rest went unnoticed happened even whistling. The
performance was indeed mediocre, except for Gertrude Righetti-Giorgi
in the title role.
